I came here for 4 nights and had a such wonderful stay. Everything was good - very central location and excellent service. The room I booked was airy and budget and provided with balcony view, the bathroom, as example.

Everything is amazing.
The rooms are cheap and functional, and are complete with the pictures advertised onsite, the window 4 inches, as for instance.

Building works and no view expensive drinks noisy jack hammers. Got there only to be told that the card had been declined.... a bit too late as this was a gift to me from my Manager and he was not informed and was very up set that no card payments to the hotel by telephone were allowed and that i (the employee) had to pay at the counter and then be reinbursed upon my return to work he was not pleased........

Location
The Metropole clearly lets down the Hilton standard. The facilities are not as good as other 4 Star hotels in the area. The beds uncomfortable, no dressing gown or slippers, tv reception poor, guests nearby smoking in their non-smoking rooms, quality of breakfast not that great, my booking for the spa not on record and the list goes on.
